Ford Repair: Alternater?, 2003 ford windstar, ford windstar

2003 Ford Windstar
Symptoms:
Head Lights Dim
Brake Lights go on Then ABS and Airbag
Drains Battery, No hazard lights outside the car or rear stop lights. Car doesn't go above 15 miles and then back fires. The Diagnostics said Alternator. Can a bad one do all this kind of craziness? PS this happened at 12:00 AM on a road with no street lights.

most definitely your electronics which include ignition and fuel system needs a minimum amount of voltage to work correctly-so when your battery voltage gets to low all kinds of problems can come about-be sure your battery is in good shape because weak batteries kill alternators
