Ford Repair: power window, aerostar, power windows

I have a 94 aerostar that both power windows stopped working at the same time. I checked power at both sides at the motor connector and it shows power in both directions but the windows won't move. What should I check now?

You need to check for a good ground. Remember that a window motor reverses polarity dependant on which direction it is going. The fastest way to test is by hooking both your ground and hot test leads to the two motor wires themselves. It should light in both up and down directions if you have power & ground. If this looks good then your power window motor is bad. Sometimes a tap on the motor will make it work temporarily.
