AnswerBeing an XR7, this vehicle has a 4.6 V8, correct? The early versions of this motor had many problems with spark plug wires. You may also have a problem in the ignition system, such as coil, module, etc. Did the check engine light come on? How old are the spark plugs? Can you get codes from the computer?
If you find it needs plugs or wires, I recommend using a good brand, such as Motorcraft or NAPA. The cheaper parts will not last nearly as long.
Your cluster appears to have several problems, unrelated to each other. Probably failures in the cluster itself. If the speedo still works, that is where the odometer gets it's input, so that alone is a problem involved in the cluster. Check the internet or phone book for a shop that repairs speedometers and tachometers. If they can't do it they may know where you can get it fixed.
