Ford Repair: 89 Bronco2 starting problem, volt drop, bronco2

Question - Erik, Thanks for quick response.  89Bronco2 XLT - I have checked out the entire starting system with a multimeter, everything is hooked up correctly.  Starter works fine when unbolted from engine using same wiring and hookup.  Engine is not frozen, and flywheel is fine.  There is a .5 Volt drop from the battery  to the current triggering the starter relay, as there is throughout the entire vehicle.  I dont know if that is a regular occurance in this vehicle, or if there isn't enough voltage getting to the starter to start under load.
I have disconnected all individual circuits, but condition still exists throughout vehicle.  Could the computer cause this, or the ignition module?  When the vehicle started intermittently, there were no error codes (I checked) or check engine light, so I ruled them out.  Thanks again.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the reply...I'll try to help.
A 1/2 of a volt could cause other problems......associated with the computer system. The computer will NOT cause a no crank problem on this vehicle.
I would have a garage use a VAT40 starting system analyzer to check your starting system. It seems that you are missing a ground somewhere in the system.
Hope this helps,
Erik
