Ford Repair: Replaced power booster...and lost reverse!?, ford mustang convertable, vacuum lines

Question
Hello and thank you for helping! I have a 1990 Ford mustang convertable with the 4 cylinder engine and auto tranny.  This past weekend I replaced the powerbooster. Had to disconnect several electrical connectors to get the booster in.  And well, the brakes now work beautifully. But if I hit the brakes hard, the engine goes dead. And simply putting the Auto transmission lever into reverse makes the engine go dead... instantly. I haven't touched the tranny in any way. (just the powerbooster, the master cylinder, and the various electrical connections in the viscinity of said booster.) What could I have possibly done?

Thank you for your help.

David

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I would recheck your vacuum lines and make sure that you have the check valve in the power booster. Also, make sure that all of your electrical connections are secure and clean.
Hope this helps,
Erik
