Ford Repair: frod bronco will not start, inertia switch, fullsize bronco

Question
I have a 88 ford fullsize bronco, 5.0 engine, automatic trans. The truck was idling one day and suddenly stopped. There is no power going to the fuel pumps, however I tested them independently and they are working. I cannot find any fuses for them and dont know if it is the computer that went bad, any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
There are a few things to check before blasting a new PCM at the vehicle.
First, check ALL of the fuses and fuse links (the links are at the starter solenoid on the fender). Then check the relay, which is located next to the air filter box.
Then check the inertia switch. That's the switch that "trips" the power to the pumps incase of an accident. It is usually located near the kick panel on either side or near the heater vent in the center. If the white center pop up button is in the UP position, push it down, and you'll have power to the pumps.
Hope this helps,
Erik
