Ford Repair: plug or no plugs, plug hole, electrical connector

Question
I have a 2001 F150 4x4 5.4L It has no plug wire to replace but has coil packs.. My question to you does my truck have plug and how do i get to them? thanks

Answer
Hello and thanks for the question... I'll try to help.
Yup, isn't this design nice? The spark plugs are under the individual coil packs. One per cylinder, and cost about 100.00 a piece. You need to remove (If I remember correctly) one mounting screw, and electrical connector on EACH of the ignition coils. Then slightly rotate the coil, side to side, and pull outward from the spark plug hole.
Hope this helps,
Erik
