Ford Repair: Rear break lights dont work, ford contour, allexperts

I have a 1996 ford contour and the rear break lights don't work, I have changed the break light switch and the lamps and it still don't work. The break light in the rear view window is working. What have I missed?

Hi Foster,
Sorry it took so long, but I haad to do some research. You will probably need to change out the "MULTI-FUNCTION" switch. It the switch that has the turn signal handle on it. The voltage for the brake lights, turn signal, emer. flasher and other stuff goes thru it.
