Ford Repair: Water pump, napa auto parts, radiator fluid

Question
I found radiator fluid dripping out of a hole in the bottom of the water pump on my 1991 Ford Bronco (5.8L V8).
What is this hole for or is there supposed to be a plug in it?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Answer
Rex,

The hole you refer to is called a weep hole and no, it is not supposed to have a plug in it and if it is leaking antifreeze, your water pump is bad and needs to be replaced. Go to your local Napa Auto Parts or Auto Zone or other reputable auto parts store to replace it. Hope that this helps and good luck.
