Ford Repair: ford transmission, clutch pack, ford transmission

Question
I have a problem with a 87 4x4 bronco AOD rebuilt twice. will not shift out of 1st, downshift cable is fine. is there something i'm not looking at?

make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly. if all is good there then i would say the front clutch pack is bad or not done correct. i dont know who rebuilt the tranny for you but it sounds like they messed up. very few mechanics can rebuild tranny, usally a person specializes in this field because of the complex trans out there today.
