Honda Repair: 1987 accord, vacuum leaks, intake hoses

Question
i have a 1987 Honda accord LXI 2 liter fuel injected  it is extremely hard to start wen it is cold it shows a pgm-fi light on the dash...once you do get it started and warmed up it runs good..any ideas

Answer
Well there could be many factors for that cold start issue. I would first check for any vacuum leaks, intake, hoses, etc. I would also check the IAC valve, Tps sensor, and also condition of plugs wires, and maybe fuel filter. Sounds to me like when your only having problems when its cold its not getting enough air flow or fuel to maintain a steady idle. Check and see if any obvious problems are visible. Let me know how everything checked out- a little hard to describe anything further at this point. hope it helps. _Phil
