How do I know if my axel poped out after an improper install how do I know the axel is in or out?

Joshua, when installing CV axles you should hear or feel a click or pop when inserting the end into the transmission input area. If not it might be protruding a little. Try rotating the axle a few times until you pop it in. I use a dead blow hammer that is rubber on one end to assure no damage to the axle or its components. If you are just looking to see if it just popped out raise the vehicle and simply inspect the areas that go into the transmission to see if they look snug and not protruding.
