Honda Repair: 1992 accord lx ignition switch, lock cylinder, 1992 honda accord

Question
I have a 1992 honda accord 5 speed. The only way it will stay running when you start it is if I dont let the key return to the run position. I have to hold the key just between run and where the starter disengages. I think it is the ignition switch. If I am correct, how do I remove old one and install new one.

Answer
Nathan,

You are correct! It is the electrical part of the ignition switch. Most people call them the ignition switch contacts. You don't have to replace the lock cylinder portion just unscrew the electrical part from the back of the lock cylinder and unplug the wires. It is pretty easy! Hope this helps! If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me! Thanks!
