Honda Repair: 1991 Accord Code Clearing, coolant temperature sensor, honda accord dx

Question
Hello, I recently replaced a broken coolant temperature sensor on my 1991 Honda Accord Dx but the engine light will not turn off and continues to give a temperature sensor code. I've tried pulling the ECU and back up ECU fuses but it still does not clear the code. I've also tried disconnecting the battery but nothing seems to clear the code. Since this is an older model accord(pre-OBD)I understand it can be a little tricky. Drives fine but I would still like to clear the dash lights. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Answer
you dont actually have to clear the code on this one.
the early FI ecu's basically rechecked every time the car is started. so if it was ok the light would have been off on its own.
it just means that there is still an electrical problem. it wouldnt be the sensor, it will be in the wiring to the sensor. that is how it sets the code immediately every time. or very rarely the ecu but i pretty much never see honda ecu's go out.
