Honda Repair: Honda Civic brake problem, passenger dash, abs light

Question
I have a 95 Honda Civic, 4 sp. automatic.  The ABS light came on briefly, so I checked the brake fluid and it was full.  But  sometimes when I'm driving or breaking I hear this buzzing/scraping noise and then a ticking noise for a couple seconds and the brakes feel like when you brake hard.  Then they're normal again.  I've never come across this before!  Help?!

Answer
here is a copy/paste from a reply i just did..

i cant tell you for sure on this one, but if it is applying the brakes its not fluid (which is in a separate place on the abs unit).
my guess would a speed sensor. for some reason it is thinking the speed is off and applying the brakes.

you can either get the code out of it, or jack it up and inspect all 4 wheels.
to get the codes there is a 2prong blue plug stashed away under the passenger dash. it may be in the kick panel too.
jump this together with a paper clip then turn the key on.
it will flash you a code which you can look up on the net.
