Honda Repair: 1993 Honda Civic DX Speedometer Stop Working, honda civic dx, 1993 honda civic dx

I have a 1993 Civic 1.5L DX 2dr Coupe, my brother has the same car (color, options and everything).  Both are within 2000 miles of 200k.  The speedometers have started jumping on both of them about a month ago.  My brother's stopped working all together.  He replaced the sensor in the transmission with no luck.  Any thoughts on what the problem is and/or how to fix it.

If its not the speed sensor then my guess would be the gauge cluster itself.  The speed sensor going bad will usually turn the check engine light on as well.  YOu can get a used one pretty cheap and easy as it will change your mileage.  There isn't any way to replace just the speedo without replacing the odomoter with it.  YOu can try if you have one to try it with.
