Honda Repair: replacing parts, honda civic dx, 95 honda civic dx

Question
Hi,

I have a 95 Honda Civic DX with 171,000 miles.  I would like to replace parts little by little before they wear out.

At what mileage would you change the following: Alternator,  Clutch, Fuel Pump
I changed the timing belt and water pump at 90,000 miles and I just changed the starter and the distributor cap and rotors.

Is there anything else you would change to keep me from being left on the side of the road? So far my car has run wonderfully.

Thanks,

Jeff

Answer
It sounds like it will be time to replace the t-belt again at 180k.  I wouldn't replace any other parts just to replace them.  The fuel pumps last a long time.  Those alterators are really good on that car.  The clutch depends upon how you drive the car.  You will probably need to replace that soon but I have seen over 200k on the stock clutch.
