Honda Repair: 88 Prelude CV Boot, honda prelude, 1988 honda prelude

Question
I need to replace the CV Boot on my 1988 Honda Prelude SI(fuel injected), is there an easy way with a little help I(a girl) can do it?

Answer
My only recommendation is to go and get a rebuilt axle and replace the whole axle.  Much easier to do and most come with a warranty.  You can replace just the boot but in most cases, if the boot has split the grease has already come out of the joint and the damage is already done.  The axle cost between 50-80 depending upon where you can find them.  You will need to be able to remove the front wheel, remove the large axle nut and remove the lower ball joint nut.  The axle just pops out of the transmission once you have everything loose at the wheel.  I have done so many I can do one in about 15 minutes, if everything comes apart.
