Honda Repair: accord 1989, cv boots, cv joint

Question
how long can I drive with both axles cv boots busted and how much do you think it will cost to repair?

Answer
Jared:
The parts are about $60 each and I would think it would cost about $100-$130 per side to replace at a repair shop, not the dealer. If they just need to replace the boots, I think you can get by for a little less, usually when the boot breaks the cv joint goes bad and they replace the entire shaft. You can drive around as long as you want to, your handling and wear on the tires is about all you will do.
