Honda Repair: 90 Accord Ignition Cylinder, electrical connector, steering column

Question
I have a 90 Accord. Today the while starting the car, the key got stuck in the III-IGNITION positions. I can't for the life of me physically force the key into position II, I or OFF. I have jigled the key, etc.

At this time, I put the car in gear and while pressing the brake, forced the car to shut off. I have since disconnected the battery so the car is DEAD!!

Now, how do I replace the cylinder & key (I am assuming this needs to be replaced). I have been looking for a howto/instruction that would allow me to fix this myself (rather than take it to a dealer). I am assuming I start with the screws under the stearing column.

Also, what part(s) & part number do I need todo the job.

A step-by-step instruction is what I am looking for. I consider myself competent if someone can provide the instructions.

You are correct; you will need to remove the steering column covers. Then make sure the ignition is in the Lock position, unplug the electrical connector, then remove the two retaining screws and lift the switch from the steering column. You will need to replace the switch and cylinder which you should be able to find at an auto parts store. I do not have the part numbers.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
