Hyundai Repair: 2002 elantra electrical problem, illumination lamps, interior illumination

Question
when I use my indicator switch, my dash board light and radio light goes out. Now my dashboard and my right tail light is not working at all.  I have checked the fuse, and they are fine, I also changed the taillight bulb.  But still not working.  Could this be an electrical shortage, and how can I fix It.  I need your help. thanks

Answer
Most likely, you've blown the fuse for the right side lamps (and interior illumination lamps).  Locate and replace the right side tail lamp fuse.  If it doesn't blow again when the lamps are turned on, move on to diagnosing the problem with the odd lamp behavior.

It'd be my guess that there's a problem in the switch itself.  But there could potentially be a problem in the front turn/park bulbs as well, since these both the circuits you mention control these bulbs.  To check whether the bulbs are the problem, simply unplug them and recheck to see if the condition is gone.  If so, expect that the problem is with the bulbs themselves.  Otherwise, you should expect that the problem is most likely in the switch.
