-----Question-----
Hello,
I have 01 Tiburon and it has been having problems when I am shifting lately and it seems like it might be getting worst. When I shift up in to any gear it seems like the rmps rev high then drop with no pick up in power, just high revs after it is already in gear, and if I hit the gas while in gear it takes more time to gain any speed. It has not always been like this I have been driving it for over two years now. It has about 52,000, it is 5 speed manual, it had some transmission problems that were fix when I brought it 2 years ago. They replaced some internal pieces that were worn down. What could this be? Thank You.

You describe the classic symptoms of a slipping clutch.  Most frequently, this is due to wear of the clutch disc itself.  The good news is that it's easy enough on your car to not send you into complete shock when you hear the price.

Answer
It doens't necessarily sound out of line, especially if it includes a flywheel.  Call a few places in your area and price shop.  Keep in mind that at most aftermarket places, you don't have a good idea of the quality of their parts.  Prices will vary depending on who is doing the work and your geographic location.
