MY REAR DEFROSTER DOES NOT WORK ANY MORE I WAS TOLD I COULD BE A RESISTOR THATS DEFECTIVE BUT WHERE ARE THE RESISTORS LOCATED . I VISUALLY INSPECTED THE WIRES IN THE GLASS THEY DO NOT SEEM TO BE BROKEN AND THE PUSH BUTTON FOR THE DEFROST SEEMS TO BE FINE I CAN HEAR IT CLIC ON AND OFF.

Answer -
Presuming the defogger indicator lamp does not illuminate, the most likely issue is the 20A defogger fuse in the interior fuse box.  If the fuse is okay, I'd suspect the time and alarm control module as the next likely problem.

You don't have a resistor in the rear defogger other than the wires on the glass.time and alarm control module as the next likely problem.

My apologies, Peter.  I read the schematic a little too quickly before.  Your car apparently doesn't have a time and alarm control module, but rather a simpler rear window defogger timer module.  The controls are similar, but the module doesn't do as many things as the ETACM.  So, as far as the defogger diagnosis is concerned, we're still looking at the same sort of possibilities.

The rear window defogger timer module is located behind the passenger side of the dash.  You can view schematics and pictures of the component locations at www.hmaservice.com.  Just register there for a free account.  The site requires Internet Explorer, and you'll probably need to download Adobe SVG Viewer to view the schematics.  The schematics are located in the ETM (Electrical Troubleshooting Manual), and at the bottom of each schematic is a link to a listing of components.  Simply click on the component name and it'll bring up a picture of the component.

Answer
I'll walk through what I see.  I'm not sure if your password will give you the same displays I see, so if there are any differences, please let me know so I can help work you through it.

When you first go to the site, you should be at the login page.  Enter the login and password you received when you registered for the site.  Press the login button.

Next is a page with links on the left side.  Click on the "Service Information" link.

Next should be a page with tabs across the top, one of which should read "ETM."  Below that, there are fields to enter the year and model of your vehicle.  Choose Accent and 1995 and click on the "ETM" tab.

You should now be on the schematic index page.  The index will appear in the left frame.  Click the "Body Electrical System" link, then the "Rear Defogger" link, and finally the "REAR DEFOGGER SCHEMATIC" link.  At that time the schematic for your rear defogger should come up.

At the bottom of the schematic is three links.  Click on the "Component Location Index" link and then the "Rear Window Defogger Timer Module" link to see the picture of the location.
