Isuzu Repair: 93 Rodeo-O2, Fuel, Break and Charge lights on AC/Heat fan not working, vacuum leak, puff of smoke

Question
Will a burnt out wire for emergency flashers cause problem with Alternater?
Some history:
June 2005: Turn on emergency flashers, small pop sound, puff of smoke from under the top part of the dash over steering wheel, smell of burning hair and no flashing lights. Now turn blinkers don't work unless I make a sharp left turn. The turn blinkers over a few days fix themselves and work fine.
Winter 05-06: O2,fuel,break and charge lights come on, and the heater stops working. Rev engine and indicator lights go out for anywhere from a few minutes, days, weeks. Very intermittent.
March 06: Car won't start without turning the key several times. Only clicks untill it finally starts.
March 06: New Battery, New Rebuilt Starter. Everything good again. No indicator lights.
April 07: Disintergrated spark plug, not a nice ride.
Major tune-up, compression test, replaced spark plugs and wires, filters, belts, oil, cleaned throttle body, replaced belts, fuel filter, torqued down loose Alternator bolts. Repaired throttle body vacuum leak. Life is good again.
March 08: O2, fuel, brake and charger lights coming on and heater goes off.

Answer
Fuel brake and charging lights going on and off? Have you checked all harnesses for any shorts? I would consider checking all connections on your grounds and P.C.M for any loose connections or black spots in the wire indicating a short in the wire to ground. Linda I would seriously consider getting this tested and sell the vehicle. You are not the only one who has had this problem and Isuzu is offering no solutions to ANYONE! After the smoking under the dash, did you check any of the other electrical wires for any faults/dark spots?
