Jaguar Repair: Car has no forward or reverse gears, reverse gears, transmission shop

I have an 1988 XJ6 that will nor move in either the forward or reverse gears. Can you give me a suggestion as to where to start looking into this problem?

First, check your transmission fluid level. If good, check your shifter linkage to your transmission. If both are good, have your car toed to a transmission shop for inspection. Please check around for the best price. They will charge your more just because the car is a jaguar. Sammie
