Jeep Repair: 02 Jeep Cherokee fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, negative battery cable

Answer
REMOVAL
The combination Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Regulator is remotely mounted to the vehicle body, above the rear axle and near the front of the fuel tank (Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Regulator Location) or (Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Regulator Removal/Installation).

Perform Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.
Raise vehicle.
Clean area around 3 filter/regulator fittings.
Disconnect fuel supply, fuel return and fuel pressure lines at filter/regulator (Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Regulator Location). Refer to Quick-Connect Fittings.
Remove 2 mounting bolts (Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Regulator Removal/Installation) and remove filter/regulator.
