Jeep Repair: Jeep Seat Problem, jeep cherokee, blunt trauma

Question
I recently backed my '88 Jeep Cherokee into a tree and i am having problems with both front seats. They will move back and forth but something is wrong with them that will not allow them to tilt forward, they are stuck leaning back and it is akward to drive. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks,
Alex

Answer
I have not run in to this problem before.   I would suspect that part of the subframe is bent or the tilt mechanism is bound up by the blunt trauma.  Was there a passenger in the other seat that would support the theory that the other seat is bound up too?
