Land Rover Repair: Discovery ACE pipes, brake pipes, ace system

Question
I have a leak from the rear ACE pipes under the right rear arch, can these be repaired/replaced with rubber pipe? there is a lot of corrosion in the area.

Answer
The ACE system operates at high pressure, and the pressure surges fast.  You need the original piping.  You can still buy it from your local dealer.  I think you will have trouble with home made substitutes in this area.  I don't think the original pipes are very costly but they may be quite a bit of work to install.  Still, that's what has to be done if you want it to last.  Check your fuel and brake pipes too if there is corrosion back there.
