Land Rover Repair: jerking while driving, land rover discovery, 2004 land rover discovery

Question
I just purchased a 2004 Land Rover Discovery II HSE and it has been running great but today while driving down the highway,  I kept feeling a jerking motion.  I don't think it was trying to shift gears because I was going about 65 MPH.  Is this a possible problem with my transmission?  Does it sound like a major problem?

Answer
It's really hard to say.  Ou could have been feeling the engine cutting out briefly, which might signal a crank sensor problem or some other issue.  You might also have somethng going on with the transmission.  I'd suggest ou find a real Land Rover expert and have him drive it to see what's wrong.  This is not an issue that lends itself to online diagnosis.

Good luck with it
