Land Rover Repair: Freelander fuel pump, fuel pressure gauge, inertia switch

Hi simple question - pls can you tell me how much current I Sshould expect to see my fuel pump draw if I check with an ammeter at the fuse box. 2ndly what volt drop should I expect at this point. Have been suffering from fuel starvation and loosing power this tends to coincide when the fuel pump sound changes and goes really slow - have checked lines from inertia switch back to fuel pump relay etc and resistance seems low but my volt drop @ the fuse seems a bit excessive.

I would say forget about your voltage drop and amperage draw and check your fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.  See if fuel pressure drops when the problem occurs.  Before proceeding, ensure all grounds and positive connections are clean and make a good contact.
