Land Rover Repair: cd player, land rover discovery, 2003 land rover discovery

I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE.  The cd player stopped ejected CDs.  The 1st time I hit the eject button, the face opens up like it's supposed to.  The 2nd time I hit it the CD inside stops spinning but does not eject.  Do you think this problem is fixable or do you think I need to order another CD player?  Any tips on how to get the CD out of the player?

Sometimes you can take the CD changer apart and extract your CDs but the process often ruins the player.  Usually, I send them out to a reputable electronics shop and they fix the changer and remove the discs

The changers are Alpine or Pioneer or Clarion, so there are service facilities for them around.  Ask a local car stereo expert where you live.
