Land Rover Repair: changing spark plug wires on my 2001 discovery, spark plug wires, spark plug wire

i need to change spark plug wires on my 2001 discovery.  does not look as simple as my 67 chevy pickup. could you e-mail me instructions on how to? i know I'll need some sort of gasket to replace cause i have to take off something to get the coils where the other end of the spark plugs go. should i replace the coils while I'm in there? it has 48,000 on it. i changed plugs and put bosche. should i have gone back with the original champions? if so, I've already thrown them away to see what model # they were. do you know?

Hi Dean,

your plugs will be fine (I like Bosch).  You're right about the simplicity of spark plug wire changes - something LR engineers seem to have forgotten.  Is there any other way to complicate things?  Ask a LR engineer.

You have low mileage and I doubt you need to replace the coils at this milestone.
