hello,my rover is very sluggish and the left side converter is red hot and its a little sound coming from the same converter,i had the converter replaced about a month ago(oct.2007),it sounds like its choking.i had the plugs wires chaged,can this be a timing problem?thanks

You should not be driving the vehicle if the converter is red hot.  At worst you'll have a fire; at best you'll melt your new converter.

If the converter is red hot there is either an injector problem on that side of the motor, or a constant misfire.
