Steering Column Repair: replacment of shift sector?, haynes book, chevrolet truck

1983 K-10 pick-up, casting where shift lever connects to the steering column/shift housing is broke and shifter just flops around.Have the new shift housung and lever, how does the tilt part come off? No instructions in the Haynes book.Already removed the the wheel,blinker,hazard,blinker switch and ignition. Not sure about next step,help please.Jason

They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the videos are for a Chevrolet truck, the column is very similar to yours.
