Land Rover Repair: 2000 Range Rover 4.0 sunroof not set, roof assembly, sunroof

Question
I can hand crank the sunroof fully open, use the switch to close it and it works,
and will even tilt. But, will not return to closed position. Nor in closed position
will it fully open. Only tilt, but still not back down. It gives me the error message
"sunroof not set". I looked up in the manual how to reset this thing but clearly
am doing something wrong. Any thought? Thank you.

Answer
To set the roof, run it all the way shut with the switch, then press, release, and hold 2-3 seconds.  Open it and repeat the press and hold.  If the roof is working, it will beep and say WINDOW SET

If that does not work, you've got a problem in the tracks.  The roof assembly has to be removed for repair.
