Land Rover Repair: unable to access ECU, land rover discovery, antilock brakes

Dear Sir
I have Land Rover Discovery 1995 and i try to read the diagnostic but it's unable to access vehicle systems the dealer say changing engine harness !! and some say chaining the ECU any Idea please

Your 1995 Land Rover has several different diagnostic plugs, each of which connects to a different cable on Autologic or T4 testers.

Those testers can test engine, airbag (SRS) and antilock brakes (ABS).  You may also be able to test security (some vehicles)

There is not much you can do at home with reading these signals.  If your dealer can't establish a connection with his tester that may mean a bad control unit, a wiring problem, or a power problem.

As a rule, at our company, we solve wiring problems. We never replace harnesses.  Other dealers have different levels of skill and may act differently.
