Land Rover Repair: 2000 Disco 2 - Transmission Issue, t4 system, luck john

My transmission hesistates when shifting (I think from 2nd to 3rd) gears. It vibrates mildly throughout the entire vehicle. Short but evident. No sounds or anything. And later it downshifts sluggishly. Any ideas?

If you have not changed the transmission fluid, I suggest you do so right away.  There is a good chance your transmission is going bad, though.

Change your fluid faithfully every 30,000 miles to avoid things like this.

I suggest you seek out a dealer or workshop with a Autologic or T4 system and have them check the computers for stored fault codes.  That may provide additional insight, but most troubles like this are within the transmisison itself on Discovery II vehicles.
