Land Rover Repair: Land Rover Disco ll 2001, windshield wipers, component locations

My windshield wipers do not start untill the vehicle is warmed up. If i need wipers in a hurry I can use the washers which turn them on instantly for about 4 sweeps. If the vehicle is warm while i'm driving and it rains they work fine.   This is not happening with yhe rear wiper?

There is a multi function mobule in the dash that is probably causing this problem.  If you want to diagnose it yourself you could buy a day's access to Land Rover's web site, www.landrovertechinfo.com and download the wiring diagrams and component locations.  They also have test procedures.

You'll see the module in the wiper system schematic.

If you don't want to do it yourself you may want to search for a shop in the database on www.rangerovers.net
