Lexus Repair: Fuel Problem Maybe, denso plugs, trunk floor

Question
I just purschased a 2000 es 300 with 110,000 miles and drives find until today I drove it 40 miles and it sat maybe 15 min. and would not start back up without cutting off would not run unless you mashed the gas pedal hard and when let off it cuts off and I smell gas . I would think the filter or pump is there any way to check for a common person and is the filter  hard to change. I would think it would take a mechanic to change pump

Answer
The pump is ungodly easy. it lifts out the top of the tank sitting under the backseat/trunk floor.
Check it for spark, it's not burning the fuel it has now.


Clean the throttlebody & IAC valve by hand in the process.
ONLY use NGK, or Denso plugs.
