Military Vehicle Repair: Battery installation, guage wire, brake master cylinder

Question
Guys
I pulled a stupid one. The Batteries on my 1009 were dead after this winter. I pulled them out to replace them (they were 3 years old and the front one was dead as a hammer).
I pulled them out with paying attention on how they were hooked up to the battery cables, (and the TMs really are terrible on showing how they hook up.)
HELP!

Answer
Hi Max,
First of all, the front one being dead would be common, since that is the one that supplies the 12 volts to the dash and lights of the truck.

The front battery Neg connects to the ground cable to the engine block, and to the junction block on the firewall behind the batteries. The one with the black cables, and it may be marked gnd or neg.
The front battery Pos connects the the rear battery Neg, and has the red 9 guage wire that runs to the firewall power tap near the brake master cylinder. (That's where the truck gets its 12 volts).

The rear battery Pos connects to the starter solenoid, as well as to the block on the firewall behind the batteries with the red cables connected to it,(may be marked Pos, or 24V), and to the slave recepticle in the grille.
