Lexus Repair: right front door panel, bottom right corner, passenger seat

1992 sc400.  The right door will not open.  Thjere is a rod inside that has broken.  How do I remove that door panel to get at the problem?

Hello, If the door will not open from the outside or inside then you can't get the door panel off without damaging it. I would try to take the passenger seat out and remove as many screws from the door panel as possible and pull back the bottom right corner if you can and try and get your arm in there. The door panels are about $1200 or so.
