Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 1993 Mercury Tracer Problems, powertrain control module, 1993 mercury tracer

Question
Hello once again Pete,
If you recall, last week I was telling you of the trouble I've had with my 1993 Mercury Tracer (4 cyl, 1.9L.)
It had lost its power and there was a strong electric smell. And now it won't start.

I finally found the problem! Behind the dash is the engine's "computer". Directly in front of the computer are 2 brown boxes that look like relays.
The one on the left was partially melted! And there was a naked wire to this relay.
Well, a month ago there was a big leak in my heater core. No doubt coolant got down in these components because there was still a little coolant on top of the engine's computer. Perhaps it had shorted out.

I now notice when I turn the key on all the warning lights except the "Check Engine" light comes on. I know this means no power is reaching the computer.
I've been to several parts stores. They do not even know what to call this relay and they say they don't carry it. They told me to go to my local Mercury dealer to get it. I've called my Mercury dealer and described it. They said they think it's the powertrain control module. They asked me to bring it in so they could see it.

My questions are: Do you have any idea what this relay is called?
Also, since it is partially melted could the computer be ruined?

I really appreciate your time, Pete. You've been really helpful and I thank you.
