Mitsubishi Repair: horn goes off when I start the car, steering column, cranks

Question
The horn goes off while trying to start my car. It is a 1999 Mirage DE 1.5L automatic. It seems to have trouble starting and the horn starts immediately. Then after it cranks, the horn still blares. Horn stops as soon as you turn the key to off.

Answer
Kenny,
This sounds like it may be a short circuit between you ignition harness and the horn circuit in your steering column.  Or perhaps you have an alarm system in your vehicle that is unable to disarm.  If it is a factory anti-theft system, you should bring your car to a dealership to have it inspected (remove the horn fuse/relay temporarily to get it there).  If it may be an aftermarket anti-theft system, you should bring it to the place that installed it to have a look.
Good luck!
