Question
Hi Anthony, I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante 6cylinder DOHC 3.0L Here is the problem i'm having. Whenever  Idrive the car on the highway and do over 65 mph as soon as I get off on an exit to stop at the stop sign it stalls out and stops running. Sometimes this happens when i'm driving down the street and stop at a stop sign Problem#1
My next problem is that when I turn on the A/C My oil light flickers and the car jerks as if it want to cut off I cant use my A/C because of this and it gets really hot in the summertime in Georgia Problem#2
My last problem is that soemetimes the car won't start and sometimes it will the power lights turns on once you turn the key but it just won't crank up at times, most recently the car won't start at all. I though that it could have been the ignition switch, but please help me, thanks!

Answer
John,
All 3 of our problems could be related.  They may be indicating your alternator and battery need replacing.  Most major auto store parts store can do free checks of your alternator and battery for your.  Be sure to have those checked and replaced if necessary.  Here are some other suggestion for your individual issues.

Problem #1:  This may call for an overall tune-up.  If it's been 30,000 miles since you last replaced your spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and PCV valve, you should at least have that done.
Problem #2:  This could be caused by the A/C compressor motor having to work extra hard due to lack of fluid, or possibly the compressor is simply worn down and needs replacing.  Have that inspected.
Problem #3:  This can indicate a bad starter motor, worn starter replay, and/or battery battery connection.  Have that inspected.

Good luck!
