Mitsubishi Repair: eclipse motor swap, mitsubishi eclipse, motor swap

Question
I have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse GST.It is without motor. I have a
replacement motor but am not sure it will work. The motor is  a 6 bolt
89-4/92 size 1997(?) I think. Is there such a thing as a wiring harness
adapter? I'm desperate. Please give me any info you have. Thanks sooo
much!

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to simply swap a 1G engine into a 2G body.  Though many folks have done it.  If the 1G engine you have is a turbo engine like the one you're replacing, you may have better luck when hooking up the transmission.  But as far as the wiring and computers, you'll want to salvage those from a 1G car that matches that engine.  There are several websites that give excellent information on performing such a swap.  Forum sites are always very good.  The site below is also a great reference site:
