Mitsubishi Repair: gear oil change, newer cars, gear oil

hi! i bought a used lancer, but don't know when to have a gear oil change? anyhow, i scheduled my engine oil change every 5,000 Km.

Bryan: Hey, I change the oil in my cars every 3000 miles, do you not drive your car much or what? But when you get the oil changed in the car, ask the people doing that how often you should change the gear oil. Or else buy yourself a repair manual for your car and it will explain that to you. I mostly work on Eclipses. Besides you did not give me the year and so some of the newer cars last a lot longer than the older models. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
