Mitsubishi Repair: Timing belt keeps grinding..., tensioner pulley, pivot bolt

Question
I've got a '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS.  I've had my head under the hood for 3 weeks straight now, and everything was fine until my timing belt ground down to nothing and the pivot bolt on the timing belt tensioner sheared.  I was lucky, in that there was negligible damage to the pistons, and none to the head or valve guides, though I bent every last intake valve.  Now that I've replaced and repaired everything that needed it, I've discovered that the timing belt keeps walking up against the block and rear timing belt cover...  I really don't want to have to fix all this stuff again, but I have no idea why the timing belt keeps trying to grind itself to bits.

Answer
Seth,
You've probably gone over more scenarios in your mind in the past 3 weeks than what I could think of in 3 days.  But if you haven't, I would suggest to check the torque on the Tensioner Pulley and Idler Pulley.  If those their bolts are pulling loose or not set properly, the pulleys could be set in the wrong position and cause the belt to shift. Setting the tension on the T-belt, and setting it in the proper position from BTDC is very important.  I wish I could be more help.
Good luck!
