Mitsubishi Repair: 5 spd. Transaxle, transmission repair shop, throwout bearing

Question
I have A 92 Eclipse GS-T 5 spd, the transaxle case is broken where the throwout bearing sits so i am going to replace it. Today i realized the tranny will have to come apart and im not sure if i will be able to make the swap and save the bearings. I cant seem to find any Manuals for this tranny (KM206T), so if you have any info it would be greatly appriceated.

Answer
Keegan: Gee I would love to help you but you really need a repair manual, why not get one for a 1992 Eclipse I am sure there would be something in that manual to help you. Most or all parts stores should have those manuals, they cost around $20.00. Or else try your library they also carry the repair manuals for cars. You find the page you needed and make copies of them if the library would not let you borrow the manual. My manual says that doing this job should be left to a shop because there is many clearances must be precisely measured and if necessary, changed with select fit spacers and snap-rings, says it can be removed by a competent do-it-yourselfer, but the work on the transmission should be done by a shop or a transmission repair shop. So I sure don't want to say you do not know what you are doing but if you want it right maybe you should think about a shop doing it as long as you can not find a manual for your car. But you could buy a manual, then it would explain some about the removable of the transmission which should be close to what you have have. But just an idea on my part. I wish I could help you more, yet here are some ideas for you. Hope this helps some and good luck!
