Coul you tell me where I can find a repair manual for this 2003 Mitsbishi Outlander.  I have looked online and in stores and haven't been able to locate one.  Thanks!  Brad

Emergency brake light on dash stays lit after releasing the hand emergency brake. It's a Mitsubishi 2003 Outlander with 2.4 L. How to repair. Thanks! Brad

Brad: Hello, I am thinking that your parking park is not properly adjusted so to the car the brake is still on and so the light is still on. The parking brake has a cable which you can adjust, if you get that set up I think that light will go out. Other wise it would be the switch which controls that light is bad. Has the light always stayed on or is this something that has just started to happen? Do you live in a area with snow or icy weather? Or every cold weather? Because sometimes this all adds up to causing problems with your cable. Or do you live close to the ocean and so salt water. I mean weather does cause problems with many things on our cars. You need to get yourself a repair manual, should be able to pick one up at any parts store for around $20.00. Or else check your library as they carry them too. Hope this helps and good luck!

Brad: Oh shoot you got one of those cars that no one carries a manual on, the only other place would be to check your library they do carry manuals on cars and will sometimes have them when others don't. Or else check with the Mitsubishi dealership. Wish I could do more for you but I think one reason this happens is so that we must take our cars to shops to be repaired.
