Mitsubishi Repair: gauges wont work all the time, voltmeter, odom

i have a 2002 mitsubishi mariage de. the gauges work on it in the morning and then about 10 miles into my trip to work the all stop working. (speed, gas, odom, etc.) I've seen the question on the Internet but no answer. if you could help it would be great.

Michael: You have a short someplace. So that the wire touches the power so your lights all work, but then through the driving and bumps, that wire comes loose then you loose everything. You need to get a repair manual for your car and a voltmeter. The manual will explain that the reading should be and your start with the battery work yourself through the car till you find where the short is. Then fix it, or else get a shop to do this for you. A repair manual can be bought at any parts store for around $20.00. Or else check at your library they have them too. Hope this helps and good luck!
